This one-

http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/269015.htm

Mate of mine looking fora tracker asked me ref this car.

I've noticed the fella has relisted this constantly for about 4 months or so that ive been aware, may have been longer & price never drops from his £15.8k!!!!

To my mind hes dreaming & its vastly over priced, no mention of the suspension make, so no idea if its even as good as £1200s worth of PSS9 or KW V2 or v3 etc & im guessing its not £4ks worth of Intrax/Ohlins etc.

Whats tops for it? I feel £7k on a good day & the seller with his lucky socks on?

Whats the mileage?

If its low, then i'd say 10K tops.

About 90k odd IIRC. The car is well documented in the mag though. Its an interesting prospect, but possibly more than i'd want to pay.

Been for sale for months. There is no way its worth that amount ... I'd say £8k - £10k.

Agree with the previous comments. About 9K tops - it looks a great car but the pricing is silly. It looks like he's trying to get his money back that has been spent on modding it but it simply isn't worth that much. My Evo saloon has been gently track-prepped and has cost me well under half his asking price.

Yeah I have been watching this one too and I can't believe the price. I bought an Evo saloon six months ago which is almost identical in spec to this one (although some parts are even more exotic, like magnesium alloy strut braces, full Racelogic Traction control, AST coilovers, AP 4 pots etc etc.) and I only paid just over half what he's asking.
Evo mag put together a ring tool out of an M3 GT and the total build was around £15k as it took into account the labour. Some people think they can sell something for the same amount as what it's cost them to put it together and this guy is obviously one of them. The only trouble is the longer it's up for sale the less interest he will get in it although he might be lucky and some rich playboy will think it's worth the money.
Do yourself a favour whoever you are, stick it up for £9k and take the first offer over £8k, either that or strip the good bits off it and sell them separately (that's what I tend to do).
Good luck with the sale, you'll need it.

That price has been laughed at on many a forum. Simply isn't worth it and, I imagine, the reason why it has been on here for 4 months. The car's worth what, £7k unmodified? I seriously doubt that the extras the seller has fitted came to another nearly 9k.

The last track car I bought was a 16v Integrale all stripped out, caged etc. and painted in Martini works colours (check my profile). It wasn't until after I bought it that I found out it had been up for sale for 18 months, it started at £11k and it gradually dropped...and dropped...and dropped until I bought for a third of the original price. People had just become so disinterested in it due to the long advertising period. Pricing an Integrale is a lot more difficult than an M3 due to the rarity value so in a way I can partially understand the initial high asking price but I don't see how anyone can get pricing a track M3 so wrong.
