I have been searching "forever" for a Mint Evo - on PH, Autotrader, BMW Club GB, and other sites - but I have yet to find what I am looking for.

I want a super low mileage example which is in "as new" condition - I know they come up very rarely, for example there was a beautiful 6k miler on PH last year, but it did not have Air con... :-(

Munich Legends are on the case for me saying they see 1 or 2 per year, but I want to know if any of you guys know of any such examples, perhaps owned by collectors / enthusiasts, or helpful dealers, whom I could approach?

I will pay good money for the right car... And don't suggest the E46 which is within my budget - I wasn't half as impressed with that as I was when I drove an Evo! Love it!! :-)

Thanks in advance...

I think you've answered your own question if you've been looking 'forever' ...

Lol almost... I know they exist - Munich told me today there was a 3k miler that I missed out on a few months ago.

I do know it's a long shot but I can wait til one comes up, I am that patient...

You're about a month too late. I put up mine for sale recently but on the basis the E36 is worth next to eff all, I've decided to hang on to it. Now on 37k, bought it last year at 27k.

I went to have a look at that 6k mile example but it had the wrong spec and wasn't in that good nic considering.

IMO you need to avoid a super-low milage car unless you plan on keeping it as a garage queen. Otherwise, reliability will be a big issue (as daft as that sounds).

How much are you looking to pay?

Would a GT2 suit or does it have to be a standard Evo? This thread was posted a while back and sounds close.

Best of luck with the search.

Thanks ASBO.

Call me crazy but I will pay up to £15k for a "garage queen" - i.e. up to 20k miles. Anything else and I would go close to the book price...

My mandatory spec is:

1997 onwards
Manual box
Air con
White (or light colour) VADAR leather interior
Any exterior colour, apart from Black, Yellow or Hell Red.

PLUS (what I would pay more for):

Sunroof
Cruise control
Heated seats

Littlebro... I think the GT2 is too specialist for me, plus I live in London and my lowered Golf struggles with some speed bumps so I guess the GT2 would be worse!

Thanks.

Can I ask why you want such a low mileage car over a car that has been fastidiously maintained and in excellent condition?

There is virtually no differeance between the GT2 and the normal Evo - only it has more of the toys you are after. It's certainly no lower. Although you said you didn't want read and it is rather red.

yes My thoughts too. At this age, a car with too low a milage simply wont have been used enough, which inevitably means some serious bills are a looming.

Whilst I don't regret it, I paid an absolute fortune for a low milage minter and I've only gone and modified it anyway. Mind you it's far better for it.

And it's neither a '99 car or an Evo
