I don't know about you lot but I am struggling a little with coming to terms with the amount that my Z4MC can do for me by way of taking care of business and thus am feeling cosseted and fear I may be losing my touch a little with regards to driving my car fast with only the 'seat of my pants' giving me the non assisted feedback that puts such a satisfying smile on ones face after a spirited jaunt. Problem is, I do like to go fast and with all driver aids present and correct, you can usually drive at more of a lick because many of the vital areas can be covered by the electronics. My point is, eventually you will fall of but as a result you will be going quicker than in a non assisted mode and will be able to do little or nothing to save your ass. I will be switching of the DSC in future and am going to make an effort to re-introduce myself to the seat of my pants (does that sound right?), if you catch my drift.

I like to turn the DSC off for lower speed roundabouts, pulling away etc, then turn it back on at higher speeds.

I think when having fun on some country roads your concentration is much higher, than when cruising along the motorway at higher speeds. I think it is on a motorway when you are most likely to make a mistake or have something unexpected happen, this is the time when DSC really has value.

By leaving the DSC on and pressing the sport button, the DSC operates with slighty higher tolerences, but the throttle response is a bit too harsh, and makes pulling away and very low speed driving difficult.
