Is it easy to adjust the latch on the E46 M3 as mine are quite hard to open when the kids get in and out.They also have to give it a real slam

Probably a useless post but...

the doors on all my E46s have been hard to open and close for women/children. It's not unusual. Don't know about adjusting though...

Would be very ineretsted in suggestions here - mine are some times very hard to open, especially after some roof down fun.

The latch is adjustable. There are 2 torque screws that you can loosen on the car body (dont undo completely as you may lose the backing plate into the panel gap) and adjust where the door closes. Is the door a totally flush finish with the rear panel? If not then the latch may have jumped out.
Failing that inspect your door seal. It may be deformed somewhere or have torn causing imperfections to the flush finish.
