Auto fold mirrors

Hi all.

Newbie here been on the site as a guest reading on about the bm's for the past few months getting to know abit more about my car, I own a E46 BMW M3. But currently i have a problem regarding the Auto folding mirrors they dont seem to work for me i assume its the button on the drivers door that gets them to retract but this wont work for me and has never worked for me any idea wat could be the problem or any help with a soluation.

Lack of use can cause the motors to stick. Start by spraying some WD40 into the void.

Does your car definately have them? For a nice (and relatively cheap) option - £280 I belive - not every M3 has them.

You have the pyramid shape to move mirrors, a toggle to decide which mirror and a square button to operate auto fold.

ya have that button alright. so the problem would be the motors?
