Hi all,

The research around the forums suggests an ECU change is required to get rid of the 250Kph speed limiter - fair play but maybe I do not want such a permanent change for various reasons and would only like to have this for the occasional autobahn trip...

so my question: has anyone tried this product?
http://www.turnermotorsport.com/html/detail.asp?PR...

if so what do you think?
Also do you happen know of any similar alternative to an ECU change?

Cheers

Interesting.
Ive not heard of one, but could be interested in a temperory de limit for a V-Max event.
I assume anything that works for a E46 M3 will work on a Z4 M Coupe.

Without delimiting the car, I saw consistent GPS-verified 160mph runs at Vmax (about 165-167mph on the speedo) in mine and it wasn't on the limiter- and i've hit a slightly higher speed on another 'Private road' with the speedo showing about 171mph (so perhaps a genuine 165mph)- I think that was about all it'd do though in standard 343BHP form.

To be honest, I'm not sure there is much value in removing the limiter as it'll go pretty much top whack anyway...

OK. How are you planning to test this??? ru going to germany?!

anyway I guess if you are chipping it, might be noticeable and may raise the rev limiter - let us know!
cheers

if you get a mapping guy to plug into the ECU they can delimit the car with software,

Most remaps for hte M3 and CSL delimit anyway
