E46 M3 SMG - mpg question...
Discussion
OK, daft question, but there is a logic behind it.
If you're on the motorway at 70* with cruise on, what mpg does an M3 SMG return?
Or conversely, what cruising speed is required to achieve a figure of >30mpg
(*can M3s actually cruise at 70? Every one I've ever seen on the road is either absolutely flat out, or getting in the way of Artics in the inside lane at 46.8mph)

Depends on weight inside car, whether its a coupe or a cabrio, tyre pressure and the like but I've heard of people getting close to 35mpg in their coupes on long motorway runs. A full tank can give you a 400 mile range on a motorway cruise. Compare that to something like an Impreza and it really is a stark difference.
