Hi guys,

Looking for a 2002 or newer E46 M3. Must be a convertible biggrin. Must have 19" Alloys. No more than 60,000 miles.

Not too fussy but none of the following please.

Creme interior.
Red interior.
Blue interior.
Vibrant coloured roof.

Help will be appreciated.

Olie

Theres a huge amount of choice around Ollie, so get choosie! SMG or manual is a big decision, pre or post face lift, and the provenance.....all of which may be influenced by budget. I'd have a look on the PH classified's an Autotrader as a starter.

Happy shopping

lol. I think ive heard of that site before wink.

One more question.

What would the insurance be like on a lad of 18 or 19 being put on an insurance policy of a 42 year old man who has made no claims in his whole car career???

quite.... if said 18/19 yr old mowed down a kiddie and the ins co could prove that it was in fact said youngster that was the main driver but only named on the policy then wave goodbye to the payout.

And 18/19 yr olds should not be allowed near the wheel of anything that has that much power. 1-2 years driving is not enough experience. IMHO at age 31 of course. I would have disagreed at that age!

I agree with what you guys are saying, but if this particular teenager is extremely sensible cloud9

This teenager is faaar faaar away from being a boy racer and he understands you must have an awful lot of respect for a car as quick as the M3.

Unfortunatly the insurance cost will I think make this basically impossible.. 18 / 19 year old on an E46 M3 = Mind numbingly high insurance bills.

Been there, recal saying the exact thing and then having to wear the 'I've just crashed my car' t-shirt.

Not cool.

Me too. Tried exactly the same line on the old man when I wanted an Alfa33 permanent4 at age 20!

tuscan, EXACTLY what i was going to post a link to.

nowt to do with how competent you are at handling a 300+bhp car- its about relative lack of experience and appreciation/perception of what happens out on the road.

That is something only experience can bring, and even then mistakes still happen

Which is of course a word that most young men do not have in their vocabulary.

and me! I had a lowly 1600cc RWD and managed to turn it over a hedge on an icy road. I recall saying "Oh t**ts, I'm going to look like a right pleb now" as I was coasting along the road on my roof.

Edited to say: all the above happened when I was 18 and thought I'd know how to react in that situation. I had to think again after that.
