Price wise have found 4 X MP Sports for circa £231 a corner fitted.

Live in the South East so if anyone can recommend be grateful.

Footnote;

The car needs all four wheels refurbed if anyone knows about this.

All help, very grately appreciated.

If you live in the South East try Lepsons in Gillingham, Kent. They do good refurbs on all rims and sometimes are pretty good on refurb + tyre packages.

What's the exact sizes your after, as I used to get my 245/40z18 PS2 for £150 plus £7.50 a corner fitting by my preferred fitter.

Sounds a bit on the high side should be about £200 a corner assuming 19" wheels

P zeros are rubbish IMO. PS are excellent but not the cheapest. I heard Contis are noisey. I dont know if Bridgestone make a tyre for this but SO3s or sons of, are excellent too if still available and normally cheaper than Michelin. There is a cheaper tyre discussed on PH somewhere that is highly recommended, but cant remember what it was or find it in threads, anyone enlighten me or OP

Spit and Polish do good refurbs but I think you may get shafted if you rely on any of these guys to get you tyres as well.

Are you stark raving mad.

Do not fit Contis to anything! Utter rubbish. Great if you like blowouts and are not fazed by the continual strobing of the DSC light.

I can not damn those tyres enough, and they last far too long...

Michelin PS2's transformed my E60 M5 - used to constantly see DSC light flickering with Conti's and very rarely see it at all now with PS2's.

For best prices in the South East you can't beat Bracknell Tyre and Battery - great service and very cheap for most fully fitted premium brands... (but with petrol prices today; to get there if you're not local'ish may not be as economical as it used to be!)

Never had a problem with Conti CS2 tyres - premium contact and economy contact are another matter though.

Do upto 25,000 miles a year and never (I've gone and said it now) had a punture or blow-out on either the CS2s or the PS2s.

Both tyres perform quite similarly on an e34 M5 (no DSC - unless you count my left & right feet) and 'only' 340/315 bhp (my old 3.8/my current 3.6) - and both last a similar amount of miles.

I can only go by what I've experienced on my own car - other cars with other drivers will of course have/need different characteristics from a tyre.

There's a place in Reading that does them; incl wheels from BMW Coopers (dealership) when they need refurbing. I know they recently did a pretty badly scuffed set from an E60 M5 for £110 a corner in a single day... (not mine I might add!)

PM me if you want details...

Yes good tyres I hear, I think they are on a par with Eagle F1's price wise, maybe a touch less.
