What other car apart from the M3 Cab for 20-23k?
Discussion
Hi guys, this question is simply a consideration as to what other car's could you possibly buy for anything up to 23k. The pre requisites are that it is has to be seriously quick, so hot it would melt in the sun, 5 years or newer and about 30k on the clock? I don't ask for much.....Good luck 'cause i've looked damn hard and nothing matches an M3 cab.

I believe they only had the one engine throughout its short production life.

Alpina Roadster!!! Very cool, very rare, seriously quick, beautifully built and a dream to own!!!
Good point, went to have a look today (didn't have time for a test drive!!) and yes u are right, they look cool and well built but don't quite have complete car feel of an M3 in terms of size and added luxury interior space. Im sure they stick to the ground like s**t on a stick and perform better on a track than a M3 but maybe not for me! Cheers tho mateIf you can live with the LHD how about a Corvette or for something completely different a Holden HSV8.

According to the trip I average around 27mpg for mixed driving and will see 32-34 on M-ways (about 5-6 better than an M3). Running costs will be lower too as the car is much less complicated (no M-diff for a start). I have been doing 300+ miles a week in mine for a year and it hasn't missed a beat.
Finally, mine should reach the 40k mark in the next couple of weeks and now that it is nice and loose I can only describe the peformance as savage. Very different to an M3 as it is all about torque and not revs.
Anyway, it sounds as though you have your heart on an M3 but thought I would see if I can tempt another to the fold!
