After the last track day and roasting the stock OEM pads, my replacements are going in tomorrow along with some nice AP fluid..

My initial research showed the ferodo DS2500 fronts to be a popular track choice, and half the cost of the Pagid equivelants..the AP site recommends them too, however these look and feel really abrasive with a 0.50 friction rating and not the 0.29 friction rating that the AP site said they were...? they are listed in the road / track recomendations..

Question, do these work ok from cold for regular or wet road work, and does anyone have experience of these on the track, do they destroy the front discs being that abrasive..?

DS2500 are a good compromise between road and track. They work well from cold and are also good for moderate track work. They aren't abrasive enough to serverly eat away at the discs, I tried F4R's once and the pads out lasted a set of discs!
I have fitted DS2500 to all my previous cars (Mits Evo 6, Integrale, BMW E30 325, BMW Z3M, BMW E34 M5) and used them on road and track with no problems other than some minor squealing.
