Currently budgeting for an E36 M3 trackday car and therefore need a cage. Whilst I've seen plenty of weld in cages I'd rather save some hassle and a few quid an go for the bolt in option but have not seen any.
Can anyone recommend anything?

I've got a bolt in cage in my peugeot but you have to weld plates in to bolt the cage to so it might not be much easier.

Hi.
i have just bought an M3 for a track car also - yesterday! Like you I am starting to look at all the 'bits and pieces. I've seen this older posting but the gear appears costly. http://e30m3performance.com/tech_articles/cage_sym...
also spoken to these guys who seem knowledgable and more appropriate for my use. http://www.robinson-race-cars.co.uk/index.htm Problem is I'm in Scotland!
be interested to share any findings

Speak to Matt at ETA Motorsport just outside Brands Hatch. He will build you can spec of weld-in custom cage you want for very reasonable money. Here's an example of one of their customers cars.
