E92 questions

Can't find anything on the search so thought i'd ask

1. How do you get the High Beam assistant to work?
2. How do you chnage the default EDC settings when 1ss getting back in the car, mine defaults to sport and i'd like it off, can't see anything in Idrive
3. The USB seems to be a USB to USB type lead, I'm assuming i have to buy a BMW Ipod lead or can I use the apple one?

2. On the main iDrive screen (where you can go left for climate, right for nav, etc) click down. Then on the next screen you have M drive settings.

Not sure on the other two questions, sorry.

3. I'll have a guess at this one. If the iPod can be accessed from your PC like a removable drive, then use the same cable on the bimzim, it should work.

1. If I remember correctly (and it is the same as on the 6 series I had) just push the button on the end of the indicator stalk and you should get a little symbol light up on the dash. You have to do it each time you get in the car but I believe that is all there is to it. It is quite hard to get used to at first as you are not sure if your lights will dip in time but they usually do!!

2. No idea unfortunately, not lucky enough to have an M3

3. Again in the 6 series my normal ipod lead worked fine without any problems.

3. I bought the correct i-pod cable from the dealer.. the one with the 2 pins
at one end. 40 quid i think. i could be wrong but this seemed to be only way to get the song/album titles displayed on the i-drive screen.

1. Is automatic if fitted. You should see the main beam alter as you leave it on and it detects oncoming cars
2. In M drive setting in the iDrive
3. Buy the Y-lead from the dealer, tightwad... Anyway, no one wants to hear Charlotte Church or Aled Jones, boyo...
