my 2002 m3 is slighty lower on o/s compared to n/s . have checked on ramp and springs are ok and i can see no faults with any thing else just wondered if any else had had same problem . cheers tim
what he said. A mate had the same problem not visible on a ramp. Jack the car to release the spring from the cup. The last 4-6" will probably be loose in the rubber damper. The back ones are easier to see on a ramp.
It is to do with the LHD to RHD conversion. The car was designed to be perfectly balanced with a driver in the LHD position. The fuel tank position has the biggest bearing on this.
This 'issue' has been around since the E36 days as well.
The fuel tank should not be an issue as it is set central under the back seat in front of the axle. So it's weight distribution is even, and furthest from impact in an accident.
