Chaps,

I noticed a warning light on my dash yesterday (E46 M3), just below the water temperature. It looks like a tyre with an exclamation mark in the middle of it.

I thought this was the trye pressure warning, but I've checked them and they're all pretty much spot on. Any ideas whats caused this? I dont cherrish the thought of having to pay BMW £200 just to get it sorted frown (possibly damaged the sensors on a pothole or something??)

Any comments appreciated.

Cheers

I topped up the air in one of my tyres once, only by a little bit, and the light came on. Must be quite sensitive. I think it tells you how to reset it in your manual...

Turn on your ignition, and press and hold the "tyre reset" button, on your centre console, and a yellow light should appear on the dash after 3-5 seconds.... job done.

Hi again fellas,

I've just picked up my car after nearly 6 months of not driving (medical reasons) and the tyre pressure problem has changed. The above was sorted when I last drove the car, now it comes on but red. I can turn if off (see above) but it comes back 5 mins later. I've checked the pressures etc and they're all fine. Any ideas?

Are the sensors easy to break? Are they easy to replace?

Thanks for your help. So annoying - I was really excited to get back in it, its looks great...then this comes on, 2 mins after getting in the saddle! frown

Any help is appreciated

I think the tyre pressures are done by the ABS sensor

Cheers Paoloh. So the same question, are they easy to replace, do you know? I dont mind taking it to BM to do but if its a 10 minute job that I can do on the drive, I'd rather do that....
