Please can anyone tell me the part numbers for the wider side sills for a that will fit a Z4MC, my local dealer told me that they are not available for the M - but I have seen many cars on here with them fitted. Thanks for your help......

They're the standard Z4 aero skirts, part no 51710150780 and 51710150781.

Plus painting and fitting, of course wink

Are there any 'before' and 'after' pics of the same car? Maybe I'm stupid, but I struggle to see what difference they make.

Thanks Top Pup, my dealer says that they cannot be fitted and if I order them and they don't fit I have to pay. Did you have the same query when you fitted them?

There system will show "not for M model" etc hence they'll say they don't fit. I have them on mine and they are a perfect fit. My dealer agreed to order them in but wouldn't have anything to do with the painting/fitting.

Thanks for the info, did the H&R lowering springs change the ride on your car much? is there a part number for them?

They fit fine, the dealers arn't really up to speed on these cars. Just get them ordered, Oh and make sure they don't get two for the same side like my dealer did at first....

Hey thanks for that. That's the forum that used to be bm3w; haven't logged in there for a while.

The difference is now clear to me, and as you say it is rather subtle. If it was £300 all in I might be tempted, but there's fitting to take care of and it's not clear if you can order them painted.

They do not come painted, you have to paint them at an extra cost. I have my car booked in next week.

I managed to get the dealer down to £370 painted but as above they won't fit them because BMW say they're not an M part. I pushed them on this and eventually they said that BMW do not approve them for the Z4M as the aerodynamic package on the M is not compatible with them and they're may be a detrimental effect on the overall handling. Usual nonsense IMO.

Following link will show you how to fit them yourself if you fancy giving it a go.
