Spec Details from BMW?

Hi chaps,

I'm currently looking for an E60 M5 for my Bro (lucky sod) and wanted to know if there is an official way we can get the FULL spec of a car? Some car's advertised have spec listed, but not every last bit (which can make a difference!).

Any ideas? I hear BMW will provide this but if we look a half-a-dozen or more, will they happily provide this? If so, how do I contact them?

When I was looking at M3's all I did was get the chassis number off the seller go to your local BMW dealer take it to the parts deparment (I did as they are usually the most helpful) ask them to check it on their database.

just Be open and friendly with them, worked for me!

you can e-mail [e-mail] and they will give you the cars original spec and when its been serviced and by which dealer.

I expect any main dealer could also check this but i doubt the'd bother unless they were selling you the car
