Assuming you have a CD changer.
I'd try and get hold of an intravee. Although they are still in the Beta phase, www.bimmernav.com sometimes sell to the general public. It replaces the CD changer but uses the existing wiring so only takes around 20 mins to fit. You'll also need an Alpine KCA420i which is around £50.
Best money I've ever spent on my car.
Edited to add - They have 9 in stock. At $250 dollars + delivery. Although I had to pay £16 import charges.
All in all should run you to about £200 for the full kit.

If you don't have a cd changer, you should be able to use the Denison kit which connects to your FM aeriel. Way better than FM transmitters, one of my friends has one and says it works very well.
