Is this to good to be true!

A Local well known garage near me is selling a 1994 M3 3.0 Coupe in met silver with only 55k and a full BMW service history!

All of this for 4995? is this bargin of the year or the going rate for these now?

I have the reg number if anybody can find out info on the car

Thanks Chris

I paid £4.5k for mine private, with 114k on it, so only 55k seems abit low if you ask me and you'd think the garage would be putting bit more on over the list price. best HPI it if I where you

Get the chassis number off the dealer and call BMW cust servs on 0870 5050 160 and ask them to do a history check. They will tell you where and when the car was serviced in their network then you can crosscheck that with the individual dealers and the history records. £4995 for a 55k car is great value. If it's all cocher I would snap it up if i were you!

Snap it up then! These cars are so cheap right now. Even dogs start off at UNDER £3k.

That only, in the main, indicates it's not been badly crashed, written off or got outstanding finance.

Check the service history, certainly one with such little miles (under 4k a year would certainly have my curiousity working overtime). If these things go wrong they go WRONG and cost a lot to fix.

I've seen many cars under 5k and wouldn't touch one of them.

Apart from the wear and tear items ie tyres/brakes/suspension bushes, whats the problem with these cars. Keep hearing lots of horror stories!

Well, they are regarded as being hardier than the Evo, both engine and gearbox wise and they only have one Vanos. I've driven a 3.0 and it didn't feel any slower, possibly because of the hefty gadget count on mine.

I'd say that is probably fairly priced for a dealer, but it'd be cheaper privately at a guess.

I paid 5.5k for a tidy, very well specced '96 Evo in May, albeit with 95k on the clock.

Best to check PH classifieds and then Ebay to see what cars are actually going for.
