Track Day Tyre Pressures?
Discussion
If they're road tyres then you actually want more pressure to stop the sidewalls flexing and rolling over, I use 40psi in the Z4M on track and it works a treat, tried less and the shoulders were destroyed in 1 session! Track tyres you'll need to be lower due the extra stiffness in the sidewalls, somewhere around 30psi when hot is usual so starting around 26-28 this time of year
You know what, it was a guy at Combe that got me going high on the pressures as well! The variation will not be as great with high pressures due to the sidewalls not flexing as much, try 40 all round, mark the shoulders wiht chalk and see how it goes, if the chalk disappears then you need more pressure, simple really
