I am looking at a pre face lift coupe. I want to fit LED rear lights and need confirmation that if I buy genuine rear led lights that they are plug and play. I am confused on this as a dealer told me that I need a new light switch unit and they need to do something with the ECU and that's about a £50 charge plus the cost of the switch. Anybody done the change over and can confirm what needs to be done.

You need 2 adaptors that fit in the new lights in boot. About £14.95 from memory.
BMW have to plug car in, so that it knows you are running led's, about £50 plus VAT.
