Just seen an E36 M3 for sale in velvet blue.

was this a standard colour?

Individual velvet blue metallic with champagne leather is, in my opinion, the best colour combination for E36 M3s.

Mind you, I'm biased...

Shame about the SMG, though nice colour. They do an iteresting grey, like seal grey on the porsches, cant remember its name though, (dove or something) That comes with the chapagne interior also.

Trick with colors is have what you ove if your keeping it, what everyone else loves in not ;0) havong owned two Dakar Yellow's I know I paid for my choice, as it was vhard moving them on. (plus they fade worse that the reds)

All good fun.

Was the piping done at the factory as part of the individual pack? Looks very, very nice sir!

I believe it was, yes. I've got the original invoice, and it's listed on there as part of the individual option.
