Run flat or not run flat? Confused.....

Quick question - I have the Michellin Pilot Sports 225/40/Z/R/19 on my E46 M3 (40 on the front - 35s on rear).

I thought the M3 used run flat tyres but am being told these are not run flats?

Could someone please clear up the confusion? Thanks.

M-Powered BMW's don't do run flats.
