Hi

I'm buying a 2002 E46 M3, quick question though, what original colour versions of black did they come in?

This is the one I have my eye on which is black in appearance, however when you get close up it's actually very very dark blue.

Cheers

I think the "blue that thinks it's a black" is carbon black.

Its carbon black which is a very very very dark blue - i don't think there is a "proper" black in the e46 m3.

PS I just bought one that looked like that today - you won't regret it !!!

It's carbon black. You can get an M3 in Jet blackwhich is properly black, but it's very rare. My 330d is Carbon Black and its a great colour that looks like this in the sun...

Just had a look at the brochure for the M3, be it the facelift one and there is a plain black. Its just called Black, non-metallic and the code is 668. Too much time on handsgetmecoat
