Hi all, just wondering if anyone knows much about M3s imported from japan. They seem really clean in comparison. Is it really better to pay more for a british/german car

Looks a bit of a dog to me, the ash tray looks nice.

ETA - It makes no odds where the car comes from, it's all about condition.

I've heard that one should give that trader a wide berth! It's not a particularly nice example either

As above.

Go to any of the japanese car forums and search on the name of that trader...some interesting stories...

You can actually attach a viscous coupling plus fan to the front of the S14 engine...there's just a blanking nut on the pulley. I believe it was a fitment in certain hot climate markets.

I tried it on mine when I had it. The trouble is/was that the viscous cut in before the temperature required to activated the electric fan. Thus the electric fan remained redundant and immobile.

I quickly decided this wasn't a good idea as I'd previously had trouble (due to not using the car enough) whereby the mechanism of the electric fan became stiffened due to immobility and then wouldn't cut in at all. So I removed it again.

I had a feeling it was something like that. Another power loss.
