Hi guys,
Anyone got the new Evo mag this month. There's a short article about the prices of the new M3 in the USA. Rumour has it they're selling for $60,000 which obviously in todays' exchange rate is near enough £30,000!! How is this possible?!? It's a bit cheeky isn't it! What do you guys think about it?
Cheers

17.5% VAT compared to 7% or less in the USA to begin with and another British government tax on top of this too. The US market is huge for BMW and people over there will not pay for cars, never have done never will. Also there will be an additional tooling cost for RHD vs LHD and the US version will have less optional extras as standard. I expect many cars to come in at around US $ 65-67 K. That is still under 34,000GBP brand new! As usual we Brits will end up paying way more than the car is actually worth.
Simple answer is don't buy one and wait for BMW to drop its prices.
