Apologies as I'm sure this must have been covered before, I have an E46 M3 with the upgraded 19 inch alloys. It's currently shod all round with Michelin Sport tyres.

Am I best sticking to the same tyre or has anyone else found something that works as well/better? Quite fancy some Goodyear F1 Eagles.

As per the most recent Evo test, try the new Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric (not the GSD3) which came out on top.

I did not get on with my old GY F1's of 2 years back. They were massively less grippy than the michelin PS2's I replaced them with. I'd go with PS2's if you want to spend good money on tyres, or Falken 452's if you want to save some wedge smile

I did quite a bit of research on this last time round and opted for the Michelin PS2's again, which have been awesome. I think they're your best bet again.

Thanks guys, I'll stick with the Michelin PS2's.

I need a full set and I think I've got the originals on at the moment (bought the car Feb this year, has now covered 20k over 4 years), hoping some new rubber will find some more grip!

My 04 M3 is wearing continental contisport contacts (or something) they have M3 on the sidewalls. They feel good, ive only had the car two days so dont know how other tyres compare. My S2000 and TVR have always worn bridgestones.

Oh, and by the way Ant- Micheldever Tyres were by far the cheapest at £790.50 all-in for 4 off PS2's. I think BMW wanted almost 1100 quid!

Costco sometimes do promos on Michelins. Last time I bought I got 20% off when buying 4.

I found PS2s better than Continentals, more wet weather grip and thus less flashing DSC

I am on my second set of Continentals and find them ok, not brilliant in the wet, but I prefer them to the Michelins on my 530d.

Costco currently have an offer on till 25 Nov: £50 off when you buy 4 Michelins 18" + above. Not as good as their previous offer of 20% but an offer nonetheless
