Must be one of the first to pop up on the second hand market with miles on it. £2k seems quite a bit to knock off considering current waiting lists...

think waiting lists are 'made up' by the dealers to stoke up demand. Once you get down to ordering a car, a 'cancelled order' normally appears. Funny that
I got a call 2 weeks ago due to a "cancelled order" and can have the car in Dec,is it worth waiting for the new year 2008 registered???535dman said:
...apparently there have been many cancelled orders...Don't know why though
Loads of speculators ordered cars with the intention of flipping them as soon as they were delivered. They must have done this before the RRP was announced and, of course, once it was, they ran a mile realising that there was nothing to be made on such an expensive M3.I think speculator is a bit harsh, I'm sure there are lots of people in a similar situation to myself - i.e. happy to put aside the deposit in the hope of being near the top of the list when the car is finally released.
I put my deposit down a long time ago when the car was originally first rumoured.
It sounded absolutely fantastic at the time, but unfortunately other things have come along since (e.g. the 335d) and for the money it now does not look like a good deal (unless you are primarily going to use it for track days which I will not).
It is a great car, but it is expensive and for £20K less you can have the 335i/d which is nearly as quick in the real world (i.e. the commute and about town) and looks virtually the same inside.
My £20K may well be heading back in the direction of an old TVR or similar - i.e. something for the weekend!
