Quick question....e39 M5

Are the green led SES lights supposed to stay on or go off shortly after starting?

I get 5 greens, no orange or red, then after 5 secs or so, they all go blank.

Thanks,
Dr C

Yes they are supposed to go out a few secs after ignition. They will tell you when your car wants servicing. The greens will go out one by one until the orange/red ones come on and that's service time.

Car will work it out. It's all down to fuel consumption, milage etc etc.

No need to be sorry. It's a very valid point. In my case, a certainty!
