What price for a 6 month old used Z4M Roadster
Discussion
Just had my cheque through from the insurance company to pay out for my last Z4M so looking to possibly replace with a 6 month old Z4M Roadster and am wondering what a realistic price is to get one at ? I have looked on the BMW used car locator and cars seem to vary between £31.5k to £37k depndant on dealer for roughly the same spec. This seems to me that some dealers are being greedy or am I missing a trick ? Does anyone have access to Glass's to see what they book at ?
I am looking for one on a 2007 07 plate with no more than 5000m and it must have nav, bluetooth, heated seats, parking sensors etc.
I am in no rush for the car and am wondering if I wait until Dec to buy will better deals be available, based on soft-top car prices softening over winter ?
I am a cash buyer with no P/X to muddy the equation.
Thanks for your comments in advance.
Dave

Hi Dave,
I've just bought a 2007 '07 Roadster with 2k miles and the spec you mention. The car was up for £34k but, by playing with the px deal, I got it down to about £31k. BMW GB have recently dumped a load of '56 and '07 Roadsters and Coupe's into the dealer network. The general feeling is that, once they've gone at good prices, there won't be many more in the market and you may well find it tough to get a cheap one. Do move quickly tough; I missed 3 by an hour or so. There seem to be plenty of people out there looking for a deal.
I don't know what colour you want, but there was a very nice spec silver one with black leather at Dick Lovett's in Swindon for around the £32k mark from memory. It was an '07 with about 2k miles on and all the spec except cruise control.
Good luck and let us know what you get.
Cheers,
Dom.

Out of interest, why do you want satnav? Seems like a waste of money to me for a system that costs ten times as much as a TomTom for far less functionality.
But that's ok if you're not buying it new...cos you won't have paid anything for it. And the car interior looks bare without it. And there's no need to take the tom tom off the screen along with the mount so that people don't break into the car...the factory one just folds down out of the way and is of no use to a thief unless he's got a Z4 without Nav! Of course, if you really want to use your Tom Tom (which is undeniably a far superior Nav device) then there's nothing about the Factory Nav that will stop you. Also, the Nav screen makes the radio operation better, as it does if you get the Ipod kit and have the info on the screen. It's worth having.
Finally, if your car doesn't have it, it makes it that bit harder to sell on afterwards if most of the alternatives do have it.

I am still a bit undecided as to whether the bluetooth phone is a major requirement, although I would assume that cars with Nav would have bluetooth - although this is not always the case.
Hi Dave,
For that kind of money...wouldn't you consider an M3 CSL? (It's going to lose less money and is a classic)
Dave
edited to add: handling, performance, four seats etc.
I bought my M3 (standard E46) new from Sytners in Nottingham and had no idea its was so good, in fact if i can finish assembling that time-machine then i'm going back to pick up that CSL.
