E36 M3 Evo braided clutch hose
Discussion
Firstly, Hi to everyone in the M Power section I recently purchased a very nice example of the E36 M3 Evo...
She had a new clutch around 7k miles ago, but the clutch pedal has only about 1" of travel before it bites. I would like to fit a braided clutch hose to see if this helps the matter. Can anyone recommend a supplier for these?

The biting point is always nearly on the floor on the Evo, so that in itself isn't unusual.
A braided hose is unlikely to improve the normal biting point much - but what it will do is to stop the biting point getting even lower as the car gets hot.
If you go over to e36coupe.com and do some searches, you should turn up a post that mentions the BMW part number for the replacement hose. Not all dealers seem to know about it, and it's not in their normal ETK/TIS system.
yep, seems pretty normal mines right near the floor too, but think I've got used to it now. A friend of mine has a e30 325 sport with evo engine and gear box in and has a twin plat racing clutch in it and its higher up, but mush be at least twice as Heavy

Thanks for the advice guys. To be fair the clutch doesn't cause an issue as such & it doesn't get worse when warmed, it just makes town driving a little more jerky than the other Beemers I've owned. All in all I'm very pleased with the purchase so far.
Cliff - that E30 must me mental!

My Evo's pedal has always been right at the floor, I did get the master cylinder raplaced when I first got it with no change.... I was also told early on that it must have had a new clutch and that it would wear in however 60k later its still in exactly the same place.
Never been a problem for me though especially as I now know thats how it is supposed to be.

My fastest was a 14.193, witch is a bit disappointing after getting into the 13's last time and was leading my class until the second to last run a Mk1 escort showed up with a 3.9 rover in it and did a low 14.1 and then buggered off after just one run, I had one last chance to beat him and a lad in front of me in a turbo changed 1.3 Honda blow his turbo and put oil down all the why up the strip

would have expected you to have doen better than 13.8 at york,i did 13.795@101.75 in my fiat coupe about 5 years back and that was std asside from a filter and bleed valve so probably only about 245bhp.i thought the start at york was bad,the anti slip was all over the place and as soon as i got off the antislip it would spin up in second, and what a bumpy piece of tarmac
