Hey guys, I've been looking at a new E92 M3 but it's my first brand brand new car so I'm not familiar with the wait or the initial depreciation curve. I can put a deposit down on one but it's probably going to take around 12 months for it to be delivered.. anyone got any opinions of if it would be worth it? or would you simply wait & pick one up that's 6-12 months old?

Cheers,
A

Any new model, like the M3 may attract a premium in it's first few months, but after the 1st year, you're sure to see a reasonable depreciation. Look at the RS4 for a good example. It was well bid to start with, but a mate of mine has just paid less than £42k for a mint 06, 5k miles car - list price around £55k..... Draw your own conclusion.
My local BM dealer actually has 2 cars 'in stock' at the moment - so if you like their spec, you could pick one up tommorrow at list....!
