I've got a bit of a oil leak on my M3 at the front of the engine, looks like it coming from vanos unit area, I've got some time off tomorrow so I'm going take the fan off and clean up the area best I can and see if I can see something. Anyone know what it could likely be?

Cheers Cliff

Probably a leaky gasket, get a new gasket set. Woudn't worry about it too much as long as it's fixed.

Might be a cam cover gasket. I had mine go on my 318is. If it is that It's a relatively inexpensive repair unless you take it to a main dealer and it won't harm your car if you drive it while it's waiting to be done.
