E46 M3 ?

Seems I'm going to be unexpectedly flush in the next month or so, at the moment I'm happy enough with my E36 328 coupe but have to admit I love the looks of the E46 M3, so is it really worth lobbing 15 to 20k of my dosh at one or can as much fun be had for half the price in an E36 M3 evo, enlighten me.

No. Something happened in the production of the E36 that imo didn't really make it feel like an ///M car. Yeah it was quick but the handling was pretty poor.

They got it right in the E30, nearly in the E46 and bang on in the CSL.

Although the e36 will be a lot cheaper.

Thanks for the opinion, CSL is too pricey for me, heard the E36 wasn't what it should have been, though I've also heard of quite a few engine problems on the E46s, anyone else ?.

The E46 is generally pretty good engine wise, much better on the vanos than the E36 evo certainly!

Crankshaft problems is what I heard, got to admit I'm having second thoughts and may just spend half as much on a good 944 turbo.
