So close to buying an E46 M3.. but....
Discussion
Always wanted an M3 and I have found the exact spec but I am still a little nervous to complete the deal.
The car is an Sept 03 with all the toys inc TV and Sat Nav. Dealer is asking for £25K with 19K on the clock. If I can get it for £24K with warranty, serviced etc I'd be happy. But with the new M3 what's going to happen to depreciation? Will it really effect it, afterall the new M3 is a completely different market. Saying that I've lost £10K in two years on my Z4.
Other questions, how much is a SAT Nav update? Or rather what's the cost to a dealer, are they likely to just throw it in if I ask?

Yeah I know... but I am willing to spend a little more for the right car, means a lot, especially with the exact colour and spec, low miles too.
Ahhhhhhh....... just can't decide.
Insurance is proving expensive. £850 for 27 year old with 5 year NCB.
My modified, more powerful supercharged BMW Z4 is cheaper.

SatNav you can do yourself for free on a quiet saturday afternoon. Sure we can point you in the right direction. I'm sure you'd rather have hard cash off the car?!The car is an Sept 03 with all the toys inc TV and Sat Nav. Dealer is asking for £25K with 19K on the clock. sounds a little bit on the expensive side, for an 03, even from a dealer, nice low mileage ones are rare and dealers do try and get a premium, but I would say dealer would let it go for 21750 - 22500.
Due to the age of car check that the warranty is BMW and not just administered by BMW, the difference is usually a payable excess on the administered one, also the car will be due inspection 1 service shortly and that will be minimum of £700, I just had mine done last week and was nearer £800.
Good luck with it
