hi, my front tyres are just coming to the end of their lives, and i was wondering if there is a choice of tyres for the 19" e46 m spoke m3 wheels, or are the only tyres you can buy the continentals. i dont use the car on track days so was wondering wether, if there is a choice to stick with the continentals or try something else which may be better, any guidance would be much appreiciated.

Michelin pilots on mine, loads of grip and are wearing well, better than expected backs still look new after nearly 5000 miles, cool looking tread pattern too!

I'd recommend Pilot sport 2 on the m3. These are much better tyres than the previous pilot sports in imo. Plus, I found PS2s better than the set of P-zeros I had for outright grip in the dry. http://www.pistonheads.com/xforums/imgs/9.gif

Hi, personally, i think the PS2s are a very predictable tyre, when they are running out of grip they telegraph it pretty well to the driver imo. Hence, they are a good, if a bit expesnive, choice.
Cheers, Ed.

Hi - I have 2 BRAND NEW, UNUSED (still with stickers on) Front M3 - Michelin PS2s which I am about to put on Ebay. I've just sold my M3 back to BMW, and they didn't give me as much as I wanted so I kept the tyres!

Make me an offer I can't refuse - They'll be on ebay on the 17th, as I'm away till then. I paid £200 each, and I'm near Nottingham.

They are by far the best choice to answer your question! My fronts did 15k, backs 10k.
