Inspirational E30 M3 Classicism...
Discussion
Earlier today, one of my chums turned up with his recently 'Derrin standard' car, freshly restored to about 98% of it's 1988'd former glory, inside and out.
A 'Euromeister' variant, of which just 148 were produced, a smidgeon of deliberate patina on one or two surfaces with fresh carpets and leather, it was inspirational.
Inspirational because now, I am convinced of the need for a museum grade E28 M5 as well as something more workaday but still treatable to a high level, like this - http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/211296.htm
I hope to have some moorland shots within the next few days.
Joyous stuff.

I'm tempted by this.........

However, the silly TV with parcel shelf unit and the daft 'phone aerial at the top of the drivers side A-Pillar are detractors. Both could be sorted, but finding original carpet and also filling and painting the hole left by the aerial would be a concern to me.
Your thoughts? I've also not checked history/provenance etc, so if anyone has and could shed some light it may help!

I know you miss the old E34. Time to get reaquainted?
Incidently, do you have any pics of your chum's E30? I'd love to see a fully restored non-Essex council estate, example
