M3 Sold Out

BMW dealers rub hands with glee after new M3 proves a hit with UK buyers

When it looks this good...
When it looks this good...
Its official, the UK loves the new V8 BMW M3, despite the mixed reviews given by the UK motoring press.

Reports seen today suggest that all 700 of the UK’s 2007 allocation of cars have been sold, we just wonder how many of those are to PHers? If you have taken the plunge, do let us know.

Apparently a UK customer will spend, on average, £4000 on optional extras when speccing their M3s, with 19” wheels being the most popular box ticked.

Not ordered yours yet? Well all is not lost as we hear that the UK will get an additional 2000 cars next year, but the pre order book is already eating away at these cars too.

Quite obviously because it's a proper car & a lot of people understand this. September 8th is going to be a good day.

I've seen a lot of 335i's around recently and actually some of them do look really good, IMO it looks best in a dark metallic grey.

19's most popular, hmmm.

Almost a standard cost option...

Seen lots in blue and a fair few in white (with carbon roof) from shots at what I assume is the factory holding yard!? After seeing more and more pics the red one's do seem to be the ones that don't do the looks justice compared to the darker blues, gunmetals and white...

What a load of rubbish.

Yesterday, I was offered TWO cars by my dealer, both for launch day!!!

Hardly SOLD IT. Perhaps they have all been ordered, but certainly there are not real people behind many of those cars yet at all!

They may all be ordered but i would imagine a good percentage of those are deposit down ready to flog on in anticipation of them selling out. Get ready for alot of auctions on ebay to pay over cost just to get them this year.

£4000 on extras is about average for a German car, isn't it?smile "Chairs sir?? Oh, you have to pay extra for those..."

I have been informed that my cousin has had his on order since last year. due it very soon (if not got already) and although I think it will be a very different experience to his current 997, it is probably slightly easier to get a baby seat into. smile

It's like a Star Wards Pre-Qual.

You know it's going to be good, lots of action, full of stars, it will do everything very well, modern technology to enhanse the pleasure but it will always have Return of the Jedi to look up to.

I doubt The M5 will come with Samuel Jackson but you never know.

Guess I'll have to stick with my E46 M3 for a while then, Oh well such is life.

Looking forward to seeing the new M3 in the flesh though. The white looks rather nice, it's like Miami vice all over again !!!

You do wonder how many of these M3's are going to suddenly come up for sale in September with a 10% premium attached!

I'm kinda predicting another RS4...

loads will come on the market at high prices, and while some will sell - there will be loads just sat there at a high price with little or no interest.

I'm going to watch the E46 prices carefully once its launched though smile

NOT a load of rubbish, FACT. Why doesnt anyone drive one for themselves before slagging the car off? Anyone read Evo magazines report?
