M3 Sold Out
BMW dealers rub hands with glee after new M3 proves a hit with UK buyers
Its official, the UK loves the new V8 BMW M3, despite the mixed reviews given by the UK motoring press.
Reports seen today suggest that all 700 of the UK’s 2007 allocation of cars have been sold, we just wonder how many of those are to PHers? If you have taken the plunge, do let us know.
Apparently a UK customer will spend, on average, £4000 on optional extras when speccing their M3s, with 19” wheels being the most popular box ticked.
Not ordered yours yet? Well all is not lost as we hear that the UK will get an additional 2000 cars next year, but the pre order book is already eating away at these cars too.
Discussion
19's most popular, hmmm.
Almost a standard cost option...
Seen lots in blue and a fair few in white (with carbon roof) from shots at what I assume is the factory holding yard!? After seeing more and more pics the red one's do seem to be the ones that don't do the looks justice compared to the darker blues, gunmetals and white...

£4000 on extras is about average for a German car, isn't it? "Chairs sir?? Oh, you have to pay extra for those..."
I have been informed that my cousin has had his on order since last year. due it very soon (if not got already) and although I think it will be a very different experience to his current 997, it is probably slightly easier to get a baby seat into.

It's like a Star Wards Pre-Qual.
You know it's going to be good, lots of action, full of stars, it will do everything very well, modern technology to enhanse the pleasure but it will always have Return of the Jedi to look up to.
I doubt The M5 will come with Samuel Jackson but you never know.

What a load of rubbish.
Yesterday, I was offered TWO cars by my dealer, both for launch day!!!
Hardly SOLD IT. Perhaps they have all been ordered, but certainly there are not real people behind many of those cars yet at all!

You do wonder how many of these M3's are going to suddenly come up for sale in September with a 10% premium attached!
Many but they will not sell for that people are hoping , well , at least i dont think so.loads will come on the market at high prices, and while some will sell - there will be loads just sat there at a high price with little or no interest.
I'm going to watch the E46 prices carefully once its launched though
