Just had a phone call from my nephew who has a puncture in his M3..

Doe sthe car have a spare?

Can I fit a 15" rim with tyre (from an old 735) as a "get you home" spare? Not worried about the legalities - will it fit on the hub?

First thing you need to know is what model M3 it is? Any idea of the age? Have the brakes been modified?

Is this going to be hugely complicated? Sadly I don`t know one end of a BMW from the other. I guess the best thing is to get it transported home!

Thanks for the input chaps. Told him to wait for the AA.

Does it have a can of sealer and a compressor as standard then?

What? - All that money and a "far queue" spare!

And unless it's a very small leak, the "far queue" spare doesn't even work - I've had to have emergency services out and get the car trailored!

I bought a wheel on ebay and a new tyre - now have a full size spare.

But a very small boot!
