The forum is down, and it was about the best place to talk about trackday stripped BMWs. I'm missing it!

Hey mate. Bought a car with what I think is one of your heated windscreens on (David Hs old car). I've been advised by someone else that its not wise to mount a rear view mirror on this as the glass is thinner or more vulnerable somehow. Is that true?

Found a wide angle long acre wide mirror that will mount on the cage, but seems like it would be pretty close to my head!

Dan, who said that, put it this way, I have a standard E36 mirror stuck onto mine, never had an issue, if I thought it was not wise I'd also be using my longacre one fitted to the cage, but i'm not!

Given you have a longacre one that you haven't fitted, I take it they are a bit odd to use?

Guess I need to try and find an e36 OEM mirror at a scrappy then.

I haven't used it because my cage is alot closer and higher than the one on the screen, makes it awkwatd to look up that far with a HANS on, E36 one is fine
