E39 M5 Command Problem

I have a MY 2000 M5 and I'm trying to get the car phone to work. It won't connect to the Orange network and their customer services suspect it may only connect to Vodaphone! Can anyone confirm before I go and buy a Vodaphone Pay-as-you-go SIM.

You'll need a dual band SIM, so either O2 or Voda should work.
