buying my first m3?

I've also been tempted to get a good E30 M3, and I've looked at several examples over the years.

There are quite a few around, but finding a really good one takes time.

Some have been modified for track use, which is fine and in keeping with the original M3's racing heritage.

What I've found disappointing is the number of examples that have been badly modified with dubious after-market tuning kits, 'privacy' glass, smoked light lenses, black grilles, non-original spoilers, wrong seats, horrendous sound systems, illegal no. plates, etc, etc. All a bit 'Max Power' - such a shame when the 'classic' original M3 was so right.

Rust of course is the other problem, which has afflicted many. If you are looking for a 'gem' try to find one with no rust and no history of any.

Newera imports have one on their stock list at the moment, they usually specialise in Jap imports, but they occasionally get some european stuff which they bring back over here.

hi steve, thanks for bothering, had a look at the car in question, very nice example, completly standard, could be made alot nicer, very tempted but wounder if there are any more out there, thanks all the same, nick
