These seem to be all over the place.

I've seen prices that are down to 15 - 16k for 2001 - 2002 cars with circa 70k on the clock and then you'll see stuff on an '02 plate with 55k on the clock going for 20 - 22k

I know about the 19" + satnav Vs 18" arguments.. and have seen the thread but there wasn't any other significant facelift was there? I'm just trying to get a handle on the wildly differing prices.

Or are they just hard to sell at present?

Mine is 02, one owner, low mileage. No sat nav and 18s not 19s.

I received two sight unseen cash offers of £19k within an hour of the ad being published and an offer of £21k (the full asking price) within three days. I withdrew from the sale as I decided not to go ahead with the E92 M3 purchase (I am No.1 on my dealer's list).

Don't know if that's any help or not!

My view is that exceptional condition/low mileage will always command a high price, while average condition cars (even with high spec) have nothing to trade on other than low price.

Yeah there do seem to be more and more on the market at present.. Is this people shifting them before the E92 is released?

There was no facelift full stop. The M3 got the LED rear light clusters from the facelift of the rest of the E46 range, but otherwise remained substantially the same.

There were probably minor spec/option/colour changes throughout the production run, but it seems to have been an incremental evolution of the model rather than a sudden jump in spec.

Cool.. Think i'll be shopping for one in the not too distant future then. Had an E36 M3 loved it to bits.. Sold it and nothing has measured up since.. So I think sod the practicality issues while a diesel giving 55mpg would be more economical I'll go find myself a nice M3 instead and start enjoying A roads again..
