2nd hand E39 M5 V8 Engine - how much??

Hi All

I am planning on an engine transplant in my track car (road legal E28) and am toying with the idea of the above instead of the usual 3.6 or 3.8 E34 M5 engine that a few others have done.

Does anyone know how much for this luvverly lump?

Ideally I'd like to keep it all BMW, BUT, the thought of a cheap and cheerful American 5.0 or 5.7 V8 that would generate just (if not more) bhp has crossed my mind...
