I'd say you need to get a REALLY good deal on this, there are safer choice out there right now, no more than 30k maybe

There isn't a heck of a difference between a CS and a standard M3 (CSL style wheels aside). Nice looking car but not a mini CSL.

At 30K your entering CSL territory, that's definitely what you need!

i thought about a CSL but a want a manual gearbox, and i havent seen a CSL for less than £32k which is just out of my budget. so i thought a cs with a manual gearbox would be the best alternative and more in my price range.

The CSL was my first flirt with SMG and it's pretty damn good. The way it blips the throttle on down changes sounds awesome smile It's supposedly quite a bit better than SMG on the M3.

I'm pretty sure you will pick up a CSL for close to 30K. There's always a little haggling to be done on sticker price.

The CSL is also likely to depreciate minimally.

Take a look at www.BM3W.co.uk for lots of info on the CSL and M3.

CSL or Z4M was what I was referring to, both safer bets than an E46 M3 right now I would say

Totally agree, a nearly new Z4M Coupe is the only other car I would consider from the BMW range. Fantastic saving on new, almost tempted myself smile Probably still dropping though.

They've fallen so hard that i think they'll slow, i'm told that the main reason for the price drop is a load of BMW management cars that have all suddenly become available, so when they're gone RV's should strengthen, i just bought one so I hope so!

They do seem really good value right now. And I agree, I cant see them dropping much more over the next 6 months or so. Fingers crossed for you!
