When I read the heading, I though "oh dear", but when I saw the photo, it doesn't look that bad. In fact, it looks very nice. Although I'd personally be content with 19s

Not entirely, as they had just enough to keep the original wheels, instead of selling them to pay off the costs of 22" performance rubber.

I saw this early today in the classifieds.

I have to agree, it looks awful, for god's sake, put the original wheels back on!

That looks sh1t.

And it's very expensive for an early 05 - got the old 'key fob' ignition, rather than the start button... Also has the plastic (blue'ish) steering wheel binnacle indicating it's an import, so no warranty over 2 years.

Unfortunately any warranty problem (if it is a UK car) involving the suspension will be invalidated by the after-market wheels - I've checked with BMW when looking at a new exhaust and they volunteered that larger wheels would invalidate warranty on suspension.

As most others have said, yuk. The thing that I always think is that the guys at BMW are paid to design and build cars and, aside from a bit of marketing, if they put 19" wheels on it, then that's what it should have. Sometimes, slight augmentation is a good thing (as with DoctorDs Z4MC) but those 22" ones are way over the top.
