Buying a house is easier!
How good is the bluetooth kit in the M3? Is it effective in the soft top or is the road noise too much? I have found a car that matches most of the spec but doesn't have the Bluetooth phone prep. Is it worth holding out for a car with Bluetooth or would a Nokia Bluetooth kit fitted professionally be as good?

The car I'm looking at seems a bit pricey but hopefully it's an excellent example: SMG II, 2004, 45,000 miles, 19" Wheels, Sat Nav/TV, Full BMW SH. Just had stage II service. £26,950 - No Warranty, Bluetooth or Hard Top.
Do you agree that the price is a little excessive?

The price looks about right at the moment for a M3 vert. I'd expect to pay around £30k for the same car from a main dealer.

No doubt you'll get some people on here who can hold of one for a few grand less but deals like that are hard to find.

I'd say it's an ok price, everyone specs BT on these but in truth the BT is crap, dead quiet and from the other end it sounds as if you have the window down, it is convenient and tidier though, 6 of one.......

Ive got the BMW BT on my 330 convertibe - I assume its the same on an M3.

Works pretty well - my phone pairs as soon as I get in the car and I get the phone book displaying on the Radio display. I think if you have the SatNav you can even read text messages also.

Sound isnt that great for the caller but I dont think any bluetooth is going to sound that great on the other side. The sound in the car is fine.

Having said all that if the car is right for you then get it and have an aftermarket BT fitted.
