smg gearbox specialists

Hi all,

My boss owns an E46 M3 smg - 01/51, 52k on the clock

FBMWSH but out of warranty. Gearbox went kaput last week

BMW said he needs a new one, offering to pay half cost
of 'box, boss has to pay all the labour. Total cost
£3700 approx.

Just wondering if anybody knew of any cheaper alternatives
to main dealer

I would just get a dencent garage to put a second hand gearbox in it, ok so you wont have the piece of mind of a new unit but could save you £3k.

£900 for the gear box, maybe £150-200 to fit, saving £2600
