Hi guys, new to this forum (usually TVR and Bike lerker) but have a question re the current (2002-2004) M3 convertible.

I'm looking to replace my Griff for a 4 seater and an M3 gets about as close to it whilst maintaining practicality I can think of. I quite like the idea of a convertible but am worried about rear seat space - they seem very small, and the whole idea is to be able to carry 3 other adults in comfort...not Range Rover comfort, but not 2+2 torture! I drove a coupe and the rear was not too bad, but anyone compare the rear of a conv M3 to say something like a new shape golf or equiv sized hatch before I go dealer worrying???

Thanks in advance.

Virgil.

i had an '03 M3 convtbl and one of my cars now is a markV golf R32. I'd say the rear space is about the same from memory. I dont think the M3 takes 3 in the back, whereas the golf can (with a proper s/eblt too. Golf has tardis-like qualities!). In my view, both cars fine for adults in the back unless a very very long journey.

Thanks, Nick. Exactly what I was after. mate has an 06 golf and you are right about Taris qualities...M3 is a strict 4 seater, but that's fine..

Does anyone know what colour interior options were available on a black car...lots of black leather, some grey - any cream or lighter colours available???

Cinemon was a lovely colour, had it on a slate grey M3 cab.

A few had kiwi interiors, and also sagenu blue (wrong spelling) was also fitted to some cars (not many though). Most of these would be individual models!!
