My New M5 ( Well.............. new for me ).
Discussion
After looking at 9 cars, I ended up with something that exceeded what I could have expected.
March 2000 (pre facelift) with 34,000 miles from new, one owner, full BMWSH, and BMW Extended Warranty.
After driving hundreds of miles over the last two months, only to arrive at cars which weren't as described, I was so happy to arrive at this one which was advertised on Top Marques. One previous owner, who used it as a weekend toy, with just 34,000 miles from new, in absolutely unmarked condition throughout. Just like the day it left the factory.

RUNNINGLOW : I just bought my E39 M5 about two months ago.
Purely by chance it's also a March 2000 built Car. Pre Face Lift, but with all the toys with the exception of Privacy Glass and Double Glazing.
I found it advertised on Top Marques web site.....34,000 miles from new, one owner, with extended BMW Warranty, in Le Mans Blue, With Black on Black Leather. It is very close to concours condition, with absolutely no scatches/dents AT ALL. It really is almost as it was the day it was new.
It was advertised for 17,500 and I haggled the guy down to 17,000. I couldn't find any faults at all on it, so it was a hard haggle. But I wanted a totally mint car with low milage with the intention of doing the shows with it. (I sold an RS Cosworth Concours Show car, so my standards were very high).
I decided that condition was the most important thing to me, and of course low milage, and disgarded alot of Face Lift cars in favour of this one. So.....if yours is truely immaculate, then it will sell for the price your suggesting.

Good bit of detective work there Rassi
Yep, I paid 17 thousand for it......which is probably top money for a 2000 pre face lift car, but I'd been looking at 2001 cars and after looking at 9 of them, none of them came anywhere near the condition of this one.....I know the odd trolley dent can be sorted, but the last thing you really want to do is start paying out for repairs on a car you've just bought. The main faults I found on the other cars were :
1. Car Park/Supermarket Trolley dents down the sides of the cars.
2. High milage (Most I looked at were showing between 60 - 90k).
3. Badly stone chipped front bumpers and bonnets.
4. Worn Interiors/Carpets
5. General Neglect.
6. Noisy Vanos, and in one case a noisy big end noise from the engine !!!
So this one was a great relief to find what I was looking for after so long. The guy had bought it new, and used it as a toy.......he told me he never used it for shopping trips, or running his family around....LOL. And most of the milage was put on it during trips to France where he owns some property over there. All original paint, no body repairs at all.....and as straight as a mirror on every panel.
With a manufacture date of 03/2000 it was one of the first cars to have the upgraded piston rings, and the Vanos is totally silent even after a cold start after being stood for a couple of days. And when not in use it was always garaged.
I've had it nearly 6 weeks now, and I'm over the moon with it. It brings a smile to my face evertime I turn the key. It will need some tires soon, as it's still on it's originaly tyres from new. Which suggests he didn't drive it too hard.
Warranty is due to finish in November, so I'm still trying to decide if it's worth the money to renew it. Only thing it's had done under warranty is Diff Seals, Steering Rack ????, and replacement TV Reciever. So not sure if that means It's a good one, or things are just about due to start going wrong....LOL.

Awesome looking car. I am supremely jealous!
The new M5's are a fantastic bit of kit but they really don't do it for me, the interior and exterior styling just isn't as nice and cohesive it is in the E39, I really miss the driver orientated dash too.
Yours justs looks so right in that colour. I really want one now.
